Australia


  • National Drugs Campaign is a website that contains information for young people, parents and families, the media, health professionals and the broader community. It provides information about the campaign, allows access to campaign materials, information on drugs and provides advice on getting help for drug-related, mental health or other problems. It also links to the National Drugs Campaign youth website which also has information on drugs and support services
  • National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC)
    NCPIC was established in response to community concerns about cannabis use. Its mission is to reduce the use of cannabis in Australia by preventing uptake and providing the community with evidence-based information and interventions. A range of electronic resources, including downloadable resources, are available on the website. Free copies of most of the resources are also available by ordering on-line
  • Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD) is the principal advisory body to the Government on drug policy. This site provides a range of free publications, including a link to Of Substance, a quarterly magazine dealing with the latest Australian news and research on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Printed copies are available free of charge to subscribers within Australia and the Asia/Pacific region
  • The Right Mix is a campaign hosted by the Australian Government Department of Veteran Affairs and is part of the Alcohol Management Project (AMP). AMP was created to develop a response to alcohol and substance use disorders and related problems in the veteran community, as identified in DVA's mental health policy and the Vietnam Veterans Health Study. The project is being developed in the context of the National Alcohol Strategy. It also a provides a link to a range of free resources and publications designed for veterans, their families and health providers
  • drug info @ your library provides up-to-date information about alcohol and drugs on this website and through local public libraries in New South Wales.
  • Drug Info Clearinghouse. This Australian clearinghouse provides easy access to information about alcohol and other drugs, and drug prevention for profesionals and the general community
  • Health Insite is an Australian Government initiative, funded by the Department of Health and Ageing. It aims to improve the health of Australians by providing easy access to quality information about human health. The website has a section specifically about Drugs
  • Health Matters is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's online gateway to health information. Covering the topics such as alcohol and cannabis the website includes original online material about these and other health issues and conditions, as well as news and transcripts from ABC Radio, ABC TV, and other areas of ABC Online
