Congratulations to NDARC's Dean's Award winners

The outstanding achievements of six NDARC research staff were officially recognised by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the annual awards night on November 17.

Dr Natacha Carragher and Dr Sally Rooke were awarded the Dean’s Rising Star Award, granted to post-doctoral staff and early career researchers who have made ‘significant contributions to research’.

Edmund Silins and Dr Marian Shanahan each made the Dean’s List for 2011. The award recognises ‘outstanding research’ among researchers with the potential to become career scientists.

NDARC senior research officers Emma Black and Amanda Roxburgh took out this year’s Dean’s Award for Professional and Technical Staff, in recognition of their ‘significant contributions to Medicine UNSW’

Previous recipients of Dean’s Awards from NDARC include Dr Katherine Mills, Dr Tim Slade, Emma Barrett, Briony Larance, Dr Fiona Shand, to name but a few.

The awards recognise the achievements of those working in all UNSW Medicine schools and centres, from undergraduate students through to academics.
