The NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Use is launching a new webinar series that will explore the latest research into mental health and substance use disorders.
Presented by world leading experts, these webinars are for clinicians, allied health professionals, teachers, consumers, carers, and anyone with an interest in issues related to mental health and substance use.
The inaugural webinar, "Drug and alcohol use among young people. What can parents and schools do to prevent the harms?", was held on Tuesday, 19 May. Dr Nicola Newton and Dr Lexine Stapinski presented the latest research findings on drug and alcohol use among Australian teenagers, including research evidence showing which strategies effectively prevent harm from drug and alcohol use.
