Joanne Cassar joined the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) as a Research Officer in December 2008. She initially worked as the ACT coordinator for both the Illicit Drug Reporting System (IDRS) and the Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System (EDRS). Jo now works on a longitudinal cohort study investigating factors impacting infant development and family functioning. Jo also works on an international research project aiming to obtain an estimate of the prevalence of adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) among patients entering treatment for drug or alcohol dependence. Her previous research has focused on alcohol use and anxiety. Jo completed her Honours degree at Macquarie University in 2007 and is currently undertaking her master of clinical psychology at Macquarie University.
