The Liverpool Health and Wellness Expo is a collaborative event hosted by the Liverpool Hospital Work Health and Safety Committee. The Expo will explore various health and welling programs, including health advice and advertising of current health research projects.
The Liverpool Hospital, along with the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is committed to reducing smoking and smoking related illness. Through the Health and Wellness Expo, the Liverpool Hospital has reinforced this commitment to stopping smoking by inviting the NDARC CESSATE Stop Smoking Study team to the health expo.
On 20 July 2018, Billie Townsend, a Research Assistant on the CESSATE Team, will be at the Liverpool Hospital Expo from 10:00am. Billie will be discussing the CESSATE Study with Liverpool staff members and signing up members of the public who express their interest in being involved in the study.
The CESSATE Study compares two quitting aids, Desmoxan and Champix, to find out if both medications work equally as well as each other, or if one is more effective for stopping smoking. The benefits for participants include:
- Full course of either FREE Desmoxan or Champix delivered to your doorstep.
- Additional free quit support from our team.
- You will be reimbursed (paid) for your time to participate in this study.
- All information is collected over the phone, no travel needed.
- A flexible interview schedule to suit your daily schedule.
The CESSATE Stop Smoking Study is trying to reduce rates of smoking by providing Australian’s with free quit aids and support.
