Neuroscience, Mental Health & Addiction (NMHA) Theme’s Collaborative Funding Grant Scheme 2023 is NOW OPEN
The Neuroscience, Mental Health and Addiction Executive Committee are excited to announce that the Neuroscience, Mental Health and Addiction Collaborative Grant Scheme is now open for applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for researchers who are interested in addressing the burdens imposed by neurological, mental health, and drug and alcohol disorders.
Eligibility
- Project Leader
- Must be an EMCR, defined as a researcher who is ≤10 years post-PhD, relative to opportunity.
- Must be UNSW academic staff or be employed at one of the Faculty of Medicine and Health’s affiliated Medical Research Institutes, and
- Can only be listed on one application as Project Leader.
- The team must:
- ideally include at least 3 collaborating partners.
- include no more than 5 Chief Investigators (including the Project Leader) and 5 Associate Investigators. Broad engagement with health care professionals, service providers, policy makers, community and/or consumer involvement will be highly regarded.
Five grants of up to $40,000 each (GST exclusive) are available. Projects must be focussed on one of the four sub-themes:
- Children and Adolescent Wellbeing
- Complex and Difficult to Treat Diseases
- Healthy Ageing
- Brain Sciences and Translational Neuroscience
The funds must be expended by 30 November 2023, therefore applicants should carefully consider the scope and feasibility of their research activities (including Human Research Ethics requirements).
