Dr Janette Smith has been awarded the prestigious and highly competitive Australian Rotary Health Royce Abbey Postdoctoral Fellowship, to continue her research into neurocognitive deficits associated with drug and alcohol use. During this time, she will examine the extent of cognitive deficits after a very short period of binge drinking; whether errors in performance are sufficiently motivating to improve future performance for heavy drinkers; and cognitive deficits associated with adolescent alcohol use.
