NDARC is providing fantastic opportunities for Early Career Researchers and Higher Degree Research students working within the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector. Information about a new travel scholarship and upcoming networking event can be found below.  

NDARC Early Career Networking Event

When: Thursday, 22 September 2022 | 1:00 – 6:00pm

Where: Singapore Room, UNSW Roundhouse

Cost: Free, registrations are essential

Running parallel to NDARC’s annual symposium, the inaugural NDARC Early Career Networking Event provides the perfect opportunity for Higher Degree Research (HDR) students and Early Career Researchers (ECR) to chat and network informally with peers and senior researchers in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector. Invited senior researchers will include a selection of prominent academics from a variety of backgrounds who will share their career experiences and insight. This event is open to anyone working within the AOD sector.  Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.

NDARC Early Career Researcher Travel Scholarship

Higher degree research (HDR) candidates and early career research (ECR) staff working in the alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sector in Australia are invited to apply for NDARC Early Career Researcher Travel Scholarships.

There are a number of scholarships available to support attendance at three key events at UNSW Sydney – the ASCEND symposium (19 September), the 2022 NDARC Annual Research Symposium (20 and 21 September) and the NDARC Early Career Networking Event (22 September).

Scholarships include return domestic airfares, accommodation, and a food allowance. Successful recipients will be based at NDARC and provided with office space while onsite.
