NDARC warmly congratulates Katrina Champion on her receipt of a National Health and Medical Research Council postgraduate public health scholarship.

The scholarship will provide $78,437 in funding over three years to support Katrina’s PhD research into internet-based interventions for substance use prevention in adolescents.

The highly contested scholarships are awarded to outstanding Australian health and medical graduates to support early-career research training. The scheme aims to foster internationally competitive and original health research.

Prior to commencing her PhD at NDARC, Katrina obtained a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology (Honours) and Bachelor of Health at Macquarie University. She is also a research assistant at NDARC, working on projects including the CAP study and the Centre for Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

Congratulations Katrina!
