The 2010 National Drug Strategy Household Survey has uncovered a slight increase in the use of illicit drugs among Australians, while levels of risky alcohol use remain unchanged.

The study was conducted by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) and is the 10th of its kind to be completed. The survey canvassed over 26,000 people aged 12 years plus.
