Chrianna Bharat joined the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales in September 2016 as a Research Associate. She is currently researching the epidemiology of alcohol and illicit drug use disorders in Australia and internationally using data from the World Health Organisation’s World Mental Health Survey under Professor Louisa Degenhardt.
Chrianna completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in applied statistics at the University of Western Australia in 2014. Her thesis examined the optimal sampling frame and analysis technique for determining childhood growth. Following graduation, she worked as a consultant with the Centre of Applied Statistics on projects primarily from the medical, dental and engineering related fields.
