EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The rapidity of overdose and death is of major clinical importance. Essentially, is there time to intervene, or are such deaths typically so rapid as to preclude meaningful intervention? The presence of 6-monoacetly-morphine (6MAM) is indicative of a rapid death following heroin administration.
The intravenous injection of drugs intended for oral use can cause pulmonary granulamatosis. This project aims to determine the number of cases of sudden or unnatural deaths in which pulmonary granulamatosis was diagnosed, and the medical consequences of pulmonary granulamatosis.
This study aimed to provide novel data on Australian fatalities involving steroids.
