About this webinar: This seminar will present key findings regarding the long-term patterns and predictors of heroin use, dependence, and psychiatric health from an 18-20-year follow-up of a cohort of Australians with heroin dependence, using a prospective longitudinal cohort study conducted in Sydney, Australia.

About the speaker: Dr Christina Marel is a Senior Research Fellow and Program Lead of Treatment and Translation among Complex Populations at the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on improving our understanding of, and responses to, mental and substance use disorders in complex populations; and developing innovative, evidence-based resources to support the translation of research into clinical practice.
