The Cracks in the Ice Community Toolkit has now been officially launched as part of the Australian Government’s National Ice Action Strategy. The online toolkit provides trusted, evidence-based and up-to-date information and resources about crystal methamphetamine (ice) for the Australian community.

Cracks in the Ice was informed by input from community members across Australia and developed in collaboration with researchers from:

NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Use
National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, University of New South Wales
National Drug Research Institute, Curtin University

The website is focused on three key areas: get the facts about ice, the effects of ice, and staying safe.

Specific information and resources are also available for community groups, families and friends, parents, teachers and students, and health professionals.

The project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and was officially launched by Minister for Health, the Hon. Greg Hunt on 3 April 2017.
