Congratulations to Professor Maree Teesson who has been selected as a finalist for a 2014 Australian Museum Eureka Prize in recognition of her outstanding mentoring of young researchers.

The Australian Museum Eureka Prizes are the country’s most comprehensive national science awards, honouring excellence in research and innovation, leadership, science communication and journalism, and school science. Professor Teesson's mentoring has been instrumental in positioning Australia at the forefront of the discipline of mental health and substance use internationally. Professor Teesson's vision and drive, mixed with compassion and care, make her one of our true academic leaders.
